Since 1973, when Dale Koontz began his own custom home building company with one employee, we have been giving our customers a quality product and the professional attention that a custom home buyer expects.

Dale Koontz was already an experienced carpenter when he decided to start his own custom homebuilding business. He brought his attention to detail and high standards of workmanship to every job, big or small. The one employee who was with Dale on the company's first day, Dave Tieman, is still a valuable member of our staff - and Dave's years of experience help us everyday in the handling of all types of homebuilding challenges. On our staff right now we proudly employ 6 people with over 15 years experience at Dale Koontz -Builder, Inc . Because we are not building “cookie-cutter” houses for our clients, we rely on our highly experienced staff to anticipate the problems and opportunities afforded by today's fantastic custom home plans.

Tim Koontz, President, and Scott Koontz, Secretary/Treasurer, have helped Dale Koontz -Builder, Inc. move into the 21st century with a focus on professional attention that is stronger than ever. Where Dale was an experienced carpenter who learned about business, sons Tim and Scott are businessmen (both with degrees from the University of Illinois ), who have learned the trade of custom homebuilding from their father. Clients of Dale Koontz -Builder, Inc. receive the professional treatment demanded by today's consumers: prompt reply to communications; detailed, written contracts and specifications; courteous attention to the homeowners wants and needs at every step in the building process.
